Is there a RE/MAX franchise fee on commissions?
It is part of the standard 95% / 5% split.
Broker pays 1% (of the 5% split) to RE/MAX of Florida
Does the office rent / desk fee ever change?
Very rarely, but it could. Many agents are paying the same desk
fee as when they joined us over 5 years ago. Everyone is charged
the same. No special deals or favoritism for certain agents.
Does the broker control or set commissions and listing terms?
Never.
Are there other fees/costs at REMAX?
We ask for a donation on each listing for charity,
(Children’s Miracle Network) and a risk management fee on each
deal. See below
Am I covered with E&O Insurance?
Yes. There is a Risk-Management Fee (split 50/50 on in-house
deals) at $40.00 per transaction. Agents are covered for up to
$2,000,000 in claims with no deductible on claims or attorney’s
fees
Are there any mandatory weekly meetings?
No. We have free sponsored lunches every other week at the
office, if agents choose to attend.
Is the Broker available for consultation?
Always. Usually in the office 9-5 or available by e-mail
or cell phone 24/7.
What if the broker is on vacation or away? Can I still get paid?
Yes. The office manager is also able to process and sign
commission checks andf escrow disbursements
Who handles the agent advertising? Costs?
Agents handle their own advertising and pay the providers direct.
There are some RE/MAX company ads that the broker manages
and pays for.
What tools are available for the agents?
Plat books, Office MLS computers, Foreclosures web site access,
HUD/FHA/VA approved company, Win2Data tax roll, free photo
copies, fax machine, internet access at each desk, free virtual tours,
free REMAX Int. and office agent web sites.
Do I get REMAX leads?
Yes! There are many leads from the www.remax.com International
web site. Also from the company web site. Any blind leads, such as
walk-ins and calls are rotated fairly to all agents.
